How can anything
Compensate for the feeling
In my heart, when wrapped
In your strong arms?
How can anything
Take away my pain, as I wake?

Sometimes, in the deep night
I feel your presence....

What words can speak
The language of my heart?
What painting can paint
My barren and winter world?

Are you happy now?
Having left your sweet tomorrows
When you wake at night….
Who is kissing your hand?

We loved each other so completely
I cry with the pain of the loss of you
Long after I should be healed
But I loved you SO much!

We both have our journeys to complete
What I cannot comprehend
Is your non knowledge of whether
I am alive or dead

How can a love so strong
Run and hide?
Take on that ancient role…
"I never knew Her"
Before the cock crows?
