The Coming Of The New Age - What It Means For Us

We are all familiar with the term 'New Age', and 'the dawning of the Age of Aquarius'. This simply refers to us leaving one age (Pisces) and entering into a new one (Aquarius). This happens every 2000 years - the last one coinciding with the arrival of Christ.

Many talk a lot today about 'New Age' philosophy as though it is some sort of anti-Christ agenda! I say there is no 'new age' thought. Yes, hopefully we are entering into a new age of spiritual enlightenment, but universal laws are as old as time itself. Our only folly is to forget who is in control and let arrogance lead us down the blind alley of destruction.

Paradoxically, we also need to realise our own spark of divinity and seek to let our inner light shine out. We need more than ever before to live in harmony with each other and the Earth. We are born into blessing, not into sin! Of course we all sin, but to live a life weighed down with guilt and shame ensures we will never realise our magnificence!

We are children of God, not absconders from Hell!
All of us are God's children, not just a chosen few.

The End Of The Piscean Age

Life as we know it is about to change dramatically. There are many doomsday scenarios put forward and it is not within the scope of this site to elaborate on them, but what everything has in common is a general belief or understanding that huge changes are set to take place.

It has been forecast in the Bible in the Book of Revelations. We have been told of several signs to look for. These are happening now.

The ancient Mayan Calendar stops in the year 2012 (some calculate 2018). The Mayans were aware of the galactic occurrence of precession. Precession is caused by the wobbling of the earth's axis. This wobbling causes stars to shift in positions about 1 degree every 72 years. It takes 25,800 years to complete one wobble or cycle of precession. It is believed a cycle of precession ends on December 21, 2012.

The Native American elders have known about this for many generations. They have kept ancient knowlege secret until the time is right.

Now all this sounds very frightening, and indeed it is. I have no doubt that we are in a perilous position as a planet, but there is the alternative reality that we are going to go through the "Tribulation" but the end result will be the Golden Age of enlightenment for all people.

This is what New Age is all about. It is the complete stripping away of all the ties that have bound our thinking, all our ignorant actions against Mother Earth and other humans.  We are now learning to Create Our Own Reality using the Law Of Manifestation.

The Birth of the New Golden Age of Aquarius

The best scenario will be the dawn of the New Age of Enlightenment when mankind will at last understand their divine inner connection to the Cosmos. No more will we be told what to believe and be scared into aquiecense through organised religion. We will each become enlightened beings who will live and breathe and have their being in a far higher vibrational level than the one we are currently experiencing.

It is no understatement to say that life on planet Earth is undergoing some major changes on many different levels. Look what is happening with the weather, Global warming, tsunamis, earthquakes, famine.   New diseases, including aids, sars and bird flu (which many believe to be pharmaceutically manufactured in labs and using mass fear tactics to scare the public into obediently lining up for 'conveniently' prepared vaccines, which in many countries are forced onto citizens, especially in Africa, from which many die).

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are loosed alright. We are on the brink of disaster. Nobody really knows which way it will pan out. There are as many different theories as there are stars in the sky. Even the Bible is interpreted differently by different Christian faiths.

One thing I do know is that unless we globally wake up to the nighmare reality we have engineered for ourselves, Mother Earth will restore balance through cleansing, just as she is doing now and just as she has always done, however the more destruction heaped upon this planet, the more aggressive and painful for us the cleansing will be.

Instead of fighting with each other, lost in the clouds of Maya (illusion of separation), we need to be coming together as 'one people' to help lessen the severity of the changes and make the transition into the new age a more peaceful and smooth process.  It seems a daunting task, but it can be done.  And it is done one person at a time.  That means that we have to start by making the changes within ourselves.  Each one of us.  The more critical mass that can be achieved of awakened people, the smoother the transition will be.  We are not separate!  We are all One.  What happens to one happens to all!

The New Transformation : Challenging Times

There will be challenging times ahead for all of us as we try to aclimatize ourselves to the new vibrational rate. Just as every living thing has an energy field, so too does Mother Earth. It has been proven scientifically that her energies are changing. 

In December 2004, the largest ever recorded Tsunami devasted Indian Ocean shoreline after 9.0 magnitude earthquake, killing over 155,000 people.  The earthquake made the Earth wobble on its axis by an inch or so, altered regional geography by a few metres and cut the length of the day by a few millionths of a second.

And throughout 2005, the other parts of the world have been devasted by floods and earthquakes, as well as hurricanes such as Katrina in the southern part of the USA.

You will also have noticed that the major developments in science, computers and technology have increased at a phenomenal rate and have now formed the backbone of our society. Knowlege is now multiplying instead of just growing. However, this is a one-sided growth that is unbalanced.  There is a need to maintain balance with the increase in technology with an increase in spiritual growth. Without the spirituality to balance the technology, we continue to create more and more ways to destroy the earth through environmental damage, and also continue to create more and more destructive 'war toys' to annihilate other humans.

UFOs, alternative medicine, holistic approaches to healing, astrology, vegetarianism, karma & reincarnation, and other subjects previously considered weird or cranky are growing rapidly in popularity, as are all subjects associated with the sign of Aquarius.

People are waking up to new ideas of self-empowerment. There is a new freedom of speech, and freedom from being scared of ridicule. More and more people are having near-death experiences. This is transforming how many people view life and death... and what lies beyond. People are becoming "dis-enchanted" (what a good word!) with materialism, waking up to the realisation that money cannot buy happiness. The enlightened members of society will welcome the New Dawn with its emphasis on humanity, kindness, truth, spirituality and enlightenment.

Enthusiasm and happiness is catching! There is a new energy coming into play as the old worn out patterns fall away. All that is needed is for many to work together as midwives for communal good to birth the new beginning of a more compassionate and caring world.

So is the New Age new?

Well, that is a good question. It is and it is not. I believe it is an awakening to the realisation of the Ancient Mysteries... but incorporated into a new time of technolocical advancement.

It is a synthesis of many different beliefs, with emphasis on the way that we can alter our personal reality through the application of belief, visualisation and positive affirmation. In a sense it is a Spiritual Awakening - a Soul Awakening - an integration of holistic healing, alternative spirituality, esotericism, environmental sensitivity, alternative life-styles, awareness of other dimensions of existence and attunement to the cosmos.

Of course there are those who exploit any change for their own selfish purposes. We need to use our powers of discernment at all times.  There are many whacky people out there. More is discussed about this below.

Maintaining Balance Between Technology & Spirituality

Technical advances in the last hundred years or so have been awesome, but unforutnately we have not balanced this out with spiritual advancement, with concern for the effects of the technology on current or future generations.  Instead, the focus has been more on material profit, and especially in these later days, corporate greed at the expense of the masses, with the sanction of governments.  Without the necessary balance of technical with spiritual, we will continue with poverty, greed, hunger and environmental rape of the planet.

Even in the 'New Age' movement, there are those who exploit.  This has given the term 'New Age' an unjustified bad reputation.  It is folly to judge the whole new age movement just because of a few rotten apples.  Rotten apples are found everywhere, not just in this movement - this includes the Church, governments, corporations, traditional medicine and pharmaceuticals, and even people on a personal level.  By and large, the efforts and intents of people in 'new age' activities and beliefs are genuine.  It is up to us to discern which is which.

Jesus tells us we will know them by the fruits they bear. In other words, if someone is charging 'an arm and a leg' to teach you enlightenment in a 2-day workshop... chances are that person is not operating from a spiritual base. Also, if someone comes along and insists they are 'The Guru' or 'The Master' and that you must blindly follow them and their instructions, you can be sure that they are false.  Anyone who tells you to blindly follow, and especially with the threat of consequences (eg. hell), is not coming from the highest place.  The highest place will make you feel empowered, will never force you to follow anything and will certainly never threaten.

The huge upsurge in alternative health has its fair share of these people. A MASTER is just that! A master is a person who has studied long and hard, pruned their skills with tender love, care and time in order to attain that high level. I am sorry but I do not believe I can pay so many dollars / pounds to become a master of anything in a weekend seminar. (Whether we have 'the certificate' to prove it or not!!! )

So there we have it.

We are living in monumental times of great change for our planet. We all need to spend time praying for Divine Intervention, visualising a Heaven on Earth and creating a place of beauty for our children.
